Decorative Tiles

The tiles are created by using mostly terracotta clay, oxides, underglazes, glazes, and a mixture of sgraffito and inlay techniques and are fired at earthenware temperatures.  I  utilise a kiln wire at the top of the tiles for hanging on the wall.  They are hand-painted and unique as they are all made individually.  Their themes are inspired by children's stories and my love of nature and attempt to portray an aura of lightness of being.  Their sizes vary, depending on the design.  I usually make the following sizes: 7.5x5.5cm, 8.5x7.5cm, 11.5x9.5cm, 16.5x11.5cm, 14.5x14.5cm, and 20x18cm (approximate sizes).
